Greetings from China Civil Engineering Society (CCES)! We are excited to share with you the message that we have submitted to ITA Exco the proposal for hosting WTC 2024 and the 50th General Assembly in line with the requirements of ITA By-Laws in due time.
We feel honoured to have such an incredible opportunity to apply for organizing this grand event, and we are fully prepared, financially and technically, to host WTC2024 and the 50th General Assembly in Shenzhen, China, as proposed, from April 19, 2024 to April 25, 2024 with a Congress Theme of “Tunnelling for a Better Life”.
The selected host city, Shenzhen, where can be found convenient airline routes worldwide, efficient public transport systems, advanced city infrastructure, distinctive cuisine, culture and scenery, as well as the ideal congress venue— “Shenzhen World Convention & Exhibition Center”, will definitely impress you. The rapid development of tunnelling in the region not only offers many opportunities for site visits, but also inspires China with great confidence and expectation to host WTC 2024. Having devoted a great deal of effort, our team are fully prepared to bid for the host..
China could not have made such achievements in tunneling without the support and help from the international community. We will always remember, with gratitude, those friends who extended a helping hand to us. We all hold the shared value and common goals to make contributions to the tunneling industry which is critical to our way of life.
